After leading the Security Operations Center (SOC) for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), transitioned to government service and was immediately competitively selected as Acting CISO of the Risk Management Agency (RMA) securing over $100 billion dollars in liabilities. Led a 4x reduction in delayed projects, 94% improvement in vulnerability remediation SLAs, and built a metrics driven approach to continuous improvement. Recruited by H&R Block to rebuild their security operations program from the ground up. Built first fully integrated global team and created an organic, globally-agnostic, 24/7 Incident Response function that launched in March 2020 in the face of COVID while maintaining stellar metrics. Rebuilt around a progressive SOC model that included dedicated SOAR and Adversary Emulation functions. As a result of success building H&R Block's security operations program, was asked to build and direct Wave Financial's security program given its exponential growth and importance to H&R Block's long term strategy to support small businesses. Prior to landing in cybersecurity, focus was on Human and Biometrics Intelligence with the Department of Defense.
