As the Chief Information Officer for Visa, I lead the Corporate Technology organization, which includes a global team who serve Visa’s employees and customers worldwide. My strategic priorities include evolving into an agile organization, continually increasing the security bar, and scaling Visa’s services while creating leverage for business partners and unlocking insights from transactional data and operational excellence. My goal is to build the best technology organization on the planet through Corporate Reliability Engineering. The scale and scope of Visa’s reach speaks for itself. While technology has evolved, the common denominator throughout my 20-year plus career has been building best-in-class customer and employee experiences through highly engineered technology departments. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, I earned my undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Prairie View A&M University and received my MBA in Strategy and Leadership from Rice University. Drawing upon my business and engineering backgrounds, I am known for my innovative use of technology to bring smart, intuitive solutions to complex technical problems. I am also a tireless advocate for ensuring underrepresented minorities and diverse populations excel in the technology industry and in life. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Austin.
