Daren is an expert in helping companies improve the way they think about, transform, and operate their businesses, with over 32 years of experience. Daren's role for the last 6 years is Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Whirlpool Corporation, a $20 billion global appliance manufacturer. Prior to Whirlpool, Daren had a 21 year career at Accenture, where he was a partner in the Consumer Goods and Retail Practice. For Whirlpool, Daren has transformed the culture of cybersecurity into a servant leader function that enables business innovation and operation in a safe, secure, and reliable manner. Leading a lean team of 25 core professionals and teams of service providers globally, the scope includes data privacy, identity/access management, security engineering, IT controls/SOX, policy compliance, and security operations/incident response. In previous roles, Daren created the Global Information Services (GIS) contribution strategy, that defined how IT execution drives business value. He led digital enablement for sales and marketing globally. In a time of transition, Daren simultaneously held the positions of IT Director - Consumer Services, IT Director - Go-To-Market, and the North American CIO. He teamed with the VP of Consumer Services to develop the first 360 degree customer relationship management (eCRM) strategy and platform migration. Daren was the IT lead for a Whirlpool and P&G joint venture to bring a new brand and product to market. Daren was the IT lead on M&A due diligence activity. He is a 2 time Diamond Award winner for Project Excellence, and served on the steering committee for the GIS Leadership Development Program. Accenture highlights: - authored an $85 million supply chain transformation program that received board approval - ran a 300 store retail IT department, reduced costs as a % of sales YOY - patent holder for eCommerce business process model - managed 60 consultants - Taught program/project management, created computer based training - Published author, subject matter expert: collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment and business process modeling Accomplished panelist, moderator, speaker, and author.
