As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and VP of Cyber Security, Risk and Compliance for Vistra Energy, I’m accountable for security, protection and compliance of our company. My org provides strategic leadership and management of cyber security, risk, and compliance for Corporate, Luminant and TXU Energy. My team builds on the positive momentum of the past several years, focused on Value at Risk and aligning risk based security with each part of the business. We enable broad coverage with fewest resources by leveraging new innovation and increased automation within a defense in depth strategy. My organization enables business strategy and objectives through assessing asset inventories and risk assessments in order to determine our value at risk. Through our knowledge of what we value and the risks that threatens our business, we provide a Cyber Security, Risk, and Compliance program founded in a NIST Framework enabling us to provide Due Care and Due Diligence efforts to meet our stated objectives. Our Cyber Security, Risk, and Compliance program at Vistra Energy provides services for Luminant and TXU Energy, our two competitive market space business units. Our mission is focused on securing & protecting our people and business critical functions from Cyber Threats and Unacceptable Risks.
