Our mission is to simplify cybersecurity.
Cybersecurity has become increasingly complex and expensive. We believe stronger security comes from aligning leadership, practical security processes and technology designed around how people work. We have been doing that since 2014.
Fortify Experts is a U.S. cybersecurity advisory firm that shows organizations where they stand and helps them fix it, through vCISO and AI governance advisory, framework assessments, and Fortified360 solutions. The firm was founded in 2014 by Tim Howard and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
What we believe
Security has become too complex and too expensive. Most organizations don’t need more tools or longer reports. They need an honest view of where they stand, a short list of what matters most, and someone accountable for getting it done.
How we work
- Measure first. Every engagement starts from a baseline, so progress can be shown, not claimed.

- Stay accountable. Our vCISOs own outcomes, not just deliverables.
- Stay vendor-neutral. We recommend Fortified360 when it’s the right fit, and something else when it isn’t.
Leadership
Tim Howard, founder and Certified vCISO, leads the firm and moderates the monthly CISO Executive Forum. Engagements draw on a network of experienced vCISOs and security leaders, matched to each client’s industry and needs.
Our sister company
Fortified360 designs and operates secure workspaces, browser isolation, secure AI access and OT secure remote access. Fortify Experts advises; Fortified360 builds and runs.
Where we work
Headquartered at 13100 Wortham Center Dr., Houston, TX 77065. We serve organizations across the United States, mostly remotely and on site when an engagement calls for it.
